Not trusted server certificate during GET

The church very recently updated their SSL (encryption) certificate for the lds.org website. Android does not trust the organization that issued the new certificate and so the application is not able to connect to the website. I am working on a solution and will send out an update when it is available.

  1. This issue has apparently been resolved by either the church or the Certificate Authority. If you experienced trouble, please try again.

  2. I am using an HTC Evo and am unable to log in. I have tried changing my password a couple of times and it keeps telling me that I need to check the user name and password. I am able to log into the lds.org web site with my user name and password.

  3. @Nexuxphreez, Please try the following... Login to lds.org stake and ward websites (https://secure.lds.org/units/login/0,8029,779-1,00.html) from your phone's browser. It is important that you do this from your phone (not your PC).

After successfully logging in, log out and then restart the app. Click the phone's menu button and then Delete all Data. Then menu again and Retrieve lds.org data. Fill in your user and password you used to login via the browser and then retry the download.

  4. I wasn't able to download the data, but I followed the above instructions and voila, working like a champ. This is going to be a huge help.

  5. I now have the same problem with using the new.lds.org website. If I uncheck use new.lds.org and rever to the old lds.org, everything works, but it isn't the most accurate data as MLS doesn't update that site, only the new site. Any suggestions?
